Job Description
We are a fast-paced digital marketing agency looking for a full-time digital designer with experience in web, social media and online advertising to join our team.
The ideal candidate candidate will present a portfolio of digital marketing-specific designs that demonstrates deep understanding of the fundamental differences between creating a "layout" versus a "design."
All finalist candidates will be assigned a single page infographic and/or website homepage mockup to complete prior to hire. Compensation will be provided.
responsibilities
The Senior Digital Designer's primary responsibilities are generating clear ideas and engaging visual concepts in tandem with agency team members on behalf of a diverse set of clients; creating dynamic, highly-impactful artwork to effectively support marketing objectives; and overseeing and managing other designers and freelance artists when needed.
These responsibilities include:
- Understanding clients’ marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience
- Using robust typography skills to elevate designs
- Developing style tiles, wireframes, mockups and full designs for websites that prioritize UX and visual communication best practices
- Designing premium marketing content including infographics, white papers, case studies, presentations, etc. that effectively organize and present content that gets results
- Building social media advertising campaigns and post visuals that generate high quality leads and engagement
- Providing design direction for video content specifically for marketing success
Additional responsibilities include:
- Working directly on major projects, especially those that establish the look of ongoing work
- Taking work from concept to final execution within set deadlines and budgets
- Producing sketches and storyboards to visualize ideas and inform the team as needed
- Staying on top of design trends and incorporating them into the agency's deliverables
- Establishing, maintaining and ensuring adherence to client and madison/miles media brand standards
- Proofing work and catching mistakes before they make it to the client
- Managing and delegating to other designers/freelancers and providing clear directions, feedback and mentorship
- Occasional strategic interaction with agency clients
requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in graphic design, across a variety of digital media (web, social media, advertising, infographics, mobile apps, video, etc.)
- Stellar visual communication skills and exceptional eye for design
- Familiarity with content marketing and inbound marketing strategy, SEO best practices and digital marketing
- Big-picture thinking while still keeping a close eye on the details
- Superior organizational, project management and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing freelancers and delegating tasks
- HubSpot and Inbound certifications
- Expert-level knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat
- Working knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Slides, etc.), PowerPoint, Figma, WordPress and HTML, Video production tools
