Job Description

The E-Discovery Project Manager executes litigation support projects tasks and is ultimately responsible for the quality and timeliness of project deliverables. This role builds relationships with legal staff and clients and advises on best practices when appropriate and identifies potential project problem areas and solves those problems before and as they arrive.

This position can be performed hybrid/remote from any Fisher Phillips office but will be based out of the Atlanta office. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist and guide attorneys and paralegals with various phases of discovery such as collections, preservation, review, production, archiving and forensic requests by becoming an integral asset to the case team and an expert in the firm’s E-Discovery services and tools.
  • Coordinate, perform and execute day-to-day E-Discovery technical data management activities such as data processing, loading into database applications, image loading into imaging viewing applications, building production subsets, and other database maintenance.
  • Champion, guide, assist and support attorneys and paralegals with the proper utilization of E-Discovery technologies and defensible practices to meet their goals and deadlines;
  • Partner with case teams to reduce data hosting foot print by running search terms, email threading, categorization, clustering and other searching techniques by utilizing ECA and data culling techniques and report or communicating findings through search term reports or email.
  • Apply project management methodology, analysis, and industry knowledge to all E-Discovery tasks, as well as coordinating and tracking daily progress of tasks from inception through completion by maintaining documentation surrounding (ESI) processes such as collection, processing, review, and production plans (e.g. client data maps, custodian collection tracking, error logs, and reviewer statistics).
  • Help administer, create, maintain, support, trouble shoot and resolve issues related to E-Discovery applications and database issues, including solving end user problems if appropriate.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Relativity Certified Administrator is required.
  • Relativity Analytics Specialist required.
  • Understanding of the EDRM, E-Discovery concepts and technology, including data security, and alternative and emerging data sources such as Slack and social media data.
  • Understanding and experience with forensic collection processes and analysis.
  • Highly IT literate with solid experience using Excel, Access and other database products and data handling technologies, including FTPs and text editors.
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of Project Management experience immersed in preferably an AM LAW litigation law firm and/or vendor environment providing litigation support and project management to attorneys and law firm clients.
