Job Description

This experienced Staff Accountant (Level II) is primarily responsible for revenue recognition and related expenses in addition to monthly journal entries and account reconciliations. A successful person in this role will be effective at communicating across departments such as Technology, Marketing, Human Resources, and Sales. This is a remote position.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare schedules and analysis, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Identify areas of risk in financial reporting as they arise and provide suggestions to mitigate those risks
  • Obtain a strong understanding of ShowingTime’s accounting policies and procedures
  • Prepare schedules for internal/external audit and assist with financial statement preparation
  • Work with operations teams to understand the complexities of each subsidiary company
  • Review the accuracy and completeness of transactions imported into accounting system
  • Provide explanation for month over month variances in PL and changes in key balance sheet accounts

Requirements / Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting
  • BA/BS in Accounting
  • CPA or pursuing CPA
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Sage Intacct ERP (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Salesforce (desirable)
