Job Description

Tempest is looking for a Graphic Designer/Web Designer with a growth mindset that is creative, and personable that can design aesthetically pleasing content for the company brand across digital platforms (website, blog, email, social media, video, and paid ads), including live events (trade shows and seminars). Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, punctual, and can effectively design and manage multiple marketing campaigns.

Job Responsibilities

  • Report to and collaborate with the VP of Marketing
  • Graphic design: lead the graphic design of the company to elevate its brand presence by collaborating with the marketing team and monitoring and ensuring brand guidelines are consistent across digital and print. Must have a sharp eye for design, style, color choice, font selection, and implementation.
  • Branding: Use professional graphic design to differentiate the company in the marketplace. Consistently enhance the brand design to ensure the brand is fresh and relevant.
  • WordPress: Create landing/web pages and optimize them for search engines to drive quality website traffic and leads. Design icons, web banners, and other graphics that match the corporate brand identity to provide a cohesive design.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product management, sales, engineering team, and other personnel to distill business offerings into compelling content that attracts target customers
  • Social media marketing: design creative and appealing content that drives engagement (likes, shares, downloads)
  • Customer-experience mindset: you are always thinking of our customers and how to wow them by providing them a quality and valuable content that supports their roles while also being able to understand other stakeholders’ perspectives
  • Work with third-party marketing, advertising, and web development agencies

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in graphic design, web design, marketing or related field
  • 1 year of B2B marketing experience
  • Ability to collaborate across all business silos, able to build consensus, flexibility
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, data-driven decision making
  • Agile: the ability to both think at a high level, as well as roll up their sleeves to execute work
  • Quickly learn new hard (technical, marketing, project management, etc.) and soft (teamwork, communication, adaptability, etc.) skills to support and grow with the company
  • Graphic design, Marketing, Branding
  • SEO (Search Engine Marketing)-Basic understanding
  • Content Management: WordPress or other similar platforms
