Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Web Designer to join our team. This person will assist with designing and developing our online properties, including our network of 30+ websites, e-commerce sites, contest landing pages, and email marketing. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for UX/UI design and work closely with our senior web developers, brand manager, content marketers, social media strategists, analytics manager, graphic designers, and copywriters.

As a Junior Web Designer, you will work on a team with middle and senior-level colleagues, with opportunities to increase your skillset and career growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and management of our network of websites built on a multisite WordPress installation
  • Create online and social media contest landing pages using our contesting platform
  • Assist with front-end design of our e-commerce sites, including updating existing ticket types and creating new ticket types
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns, including design, testing, and sends
  • Respond to helpdesk tickets and support requests
  • A web-based portfolio must be provided for consideration

Requirements / Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
  • Bachelor’s degree in Web Design/Development, or a related field
  • Experience with WordPress architecture, and proficient with themes, plugins, and custom development
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work with strict deadlines and tight turnaround times
  • Work in a team environment, have a flexible attitude, and ability to adapt to shifting priorities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with our on-site managers and other departments
