Job Description

Association Headquarters is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant proficient in multi-tasking. The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting Senior Accountants with month-end general ledger closing and account reconciliation for a statement of financial position accounts for multiple client partners.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review work of junior accountants and accounting clerks for accuracy and completeness
  • Recognize job priorities and organize work accordingly
  • Basic account reconciliation (i.e. cash, prepaid, AR, investments, AP, accrued, etc.)
  • Interact with and assist independent auditors with year-end audits
  • Perform integrations of revenue data into the accounting system
  • General bookkeeping functions

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of 2-4 years related industry experience in a public accounting firm with not-for-profit experience or larger not-for-profit accounting experience.
