Job Description

Feynman Group Software Services is growing, and we seek an experienced Software Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, direction, and coordination of large software development projects from initiation through implementation. The Software Project Manager will be an integral part of a cross-functional project team and will work with business partners to determine and translate business requirements into robust technology solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Gather software requirements, and manage both requirements and issues in issue-tracking systems
  • Develop high-level project plans and ensure the scope and approach are fully understood by all stakeholders
  • Assemble project plans, ensure all systems of record for project reporting are kept current, and direct and monitor teams’ efforts on a regular basis
  • Validate development estimates and actively seek clarification/verification as appropriate
  • Ensure accurate reflection of project budgets within project and issue tracking tools
  • Identify, track, measure, and report on key project milestones
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders, including expenses, forecasts, schedules, and risk/issue assessments
  • Negotiate resources and build teams to ensure appropriate resourcing levels are engaged and maintained throughout the course of the project life cycle

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing and deploying large scale projects as a project manager in the technical / software development industries
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models, as well as expert knowledge of both agile and traditional project management practices
  • Proven ability to effectively build interpersonal relationships and achieve alignment across a wide range of functions and constituents
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, and to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Sound grasp of the key business drivers and considerations in the technical / software development industries
  • Familiarity with updated software development methods and frameworks
  • Experience with Jira / Confluence or similar issues tracking tools
  • Knowledge of enterprise integration architecture and patterns
