Job Description

Lingraphica is looking for a creative and analytical UI/UX Designer to help design a simple, intuitive, and consistent experience across a diverse set of mobile and web applications. As part of the product management team, you’ll be instrumental in designing products and experiences that advance communication, accessibility, and inclusion for people with disabilities as well as the community they interact with. The ideal candidate uses design thinking to develop a deep understanding of our users and solve a mix of unique and complex challenges across a variety of products and solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design simple, intuitive, and consistent mobile and desktop applications across web, iOS, and Android
  • The ability to think outside-of-the-box, try new approaches, and continually iterate based on data and user feedback
  • Create design deliverables such as wireframes, storyboards, mockups, workflows, and prototypes
  • Design graphical user interface elements like menus, buttons, fields, tabs, widgets, and icon libraries
  • Create a cohesive design system and style guidelines that cover all components of our apps
  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with the Product Manager and Engineers
  • Help lead and participate in user research and usability tests, and incorporate the findings into design decisions
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accessibility standards for web and native platforms, as well as general UI and UX standards

Requirements / Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2 years’ UI/UX or web design experience for digital products or services (3 – 5 years preferred)
  • Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
  • A portfolio of professional UI/UX design for both web and mobile platforms
  • Experience designing products and experiences that create web and mobile accessibility and inclusion for people with disabilities preferred
  • Must provide website or portfolio of past projects
  • Knowledge of and experience with wireframing and design tools such as Adobe XD, Balsamiq, Sketch, Figma, Fluid UI, etc.
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred
  • Previous experience working in agile environment preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration and analytical skills
  • Possesses good time management, attention to detail, is self-motivated and takes ownership of responsibilities
